Ma. Mercedes T. Rodrigo

I am Director of the Office of International Programs, and an associate professor of the Ateneo de Manila University.I teach in the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science. I am also a member of the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center. My areas of specialization are educational technology, intelligent tutoring systems and affective computing.

I am currently studying students' behavior and affect when using intelligent tutors, educational games, and other learning software. My collaborators include Dr. Ryan Baker of the Human Computer Interaction Institute and Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center, at Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Matthew Jadud of Allegheny College, Dr. Celeste Gonzales of the Education Department of the Ateneo, and Mr. Sidney D'Mello, a researcher at the Institute for Intelligent Systems and a PhD Candidate in the Computer Science Department at The University of Memphis.
